RSCDS Oxfordshire
Scottish country dancing in Oxfordshire
RSCDS Oxfordshire is a branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society and we have been dancing in Oxford for over 50 years.
Come along to our Thursday classes from September to May. Our live music evenings are especially popular. During the summer we have weekly social dancing and all dancers are welcome to join in the fun.
Our day school in February at Headington School is open to all dancers, from new to experienced. There is live music all day, with musicians for the classes and a band for the evening dance. We also have live music for our Christmas and Burns Night dances, and our popular ball. The ball is the highlight of our dancing year, with dancers coming from all over the south-east.
One of the great things about Scottish country dancing is that you can enjoy this activity around the world. The rich collection of dances, wonderful music and sociability make Scottish country dancing a popular activity in many countries. Dance groups worldwide will welcome you.
